Happy September, long time no talk a lot has gone on since the last time I posted, and it’s the perfect rainy cold weekend to cuddle up in bed with a cup of coffee and do a little online shopping. I am in such a fall mood and I am so excited for the upcoming season. Technically for me, summer has officially ended and I am now finishing my second week of senior year. Now that it’s the limbo between summer and fall, not really summer but doesn’t feel like fall just about yet. I have put together a list of wants for fall, and I know I will be doing tons of shopping in the near future.
I huge want for this upcoming reason is a couple new pairs of jeans, and I have heard such great things about these high waisted buttons up jeans along with a pair of ripped black jeans. I love American Eagle jeans because they fit me the best and last for a long time.
I have really been loving American Eagles early fall line right now, the sweaters look so plush and cozy this year along with some simple soft tees, would make for some adorable and relaxed fall looks.

I have landed my first internship with a corporate company this summer, that I am more than thrilled to work for. With this new job I went on a trip to the store to purchase some new clothes and new staple items. So today I wanted to share with everyone my pick for stable items for your first internship that’s on the more business casual/professional aspect. Summer is time for internships and working long hours in the office like I stated in my June mood board, new jobs and new internships obviously require new clothes and a trip to J. Crew is always in order when new jobs are involved.
This past weekend I hit up the local outlet mall and found some of the best deals, a lot of them linked below to some amazing outfits that I can style and interchange for my internship. As you can tell I love the classic navy, blue, white and gray with a couple pops of color every once and awhile. My favorite piece is this peplum white tank that has bows on the back it looks great the with navy or green plants and even looks good with my blazer over top. This makes getting dressed for work so much fun when you have so many cute things to choose from.

It’s finally spring so it’s time to step into the new season in style. It might not feel like spring just yet, but it actually is and I can’t wait to change over my closet. I am so ready to say goodbye for good to my duck boots and Uggs for the winter season. I even started a little spring cleaning so that means room for new additions right. I have been in need of a pair or two of new shoes. I have been on the lookout for a new cute pair of slip-on fashion sneakers along with a pair of sandals or wedges. These Chloe Glyn sandals seriously have my heart, they might be my pair I splurge on this season.
Would love to know which shoes you have been eyeing up this season? And does anyone else do any spring cleanings, and feels motivated to clean out their closet during the spring?
Spreading Sprinkles & Sparkles,
Happy Wednesday everybody, hope everyone is having a great week. Mine has been a little crazy, and I apologize I wanted this post to go live Monday and time got away from me a little. If you have not been to Target lately I have been loving their new Spring lines right now. It seems that every time I got to Target these days I go in with one or two items I need to purchase spend a couple hours later and leave with a cart full of goodies. I couldn’t help but share some good deals with my readers, and fellow Target lovers.
I wanted to share a few cute adorable Target dupes of name brand products you can get right now at Target or online. There are so many adorable pieces to fashion-forward up your wardrobe this season for more than half the designer label cost. I know I seriously have my eye on a few of the dresses and the shoes that would make the perfect addition to my closet.
One of the biggest sections Target has right now that I am loving and wishing I could add every pair to my closet is their shoe department right now. Add a classy pair of rainboots, heels, flats, and booties to add a mix of flair and fashion towards your spring wardrobe.
Target Slip on Sneakers | Steve Madden Slip-On Sneakers | Sam Edelman Tinsley Rain Boots | Target Alex Ankle Rain Boots | Wenda Cut-Out Booties | Free People Royale Pointy Toe Shoes | Gucci Princetown Loafers | Backless Slip-On Loafers
Spring means dresses and lighter sweaters, and jackets instead of coats. Many of their items are very trendy for a fraction of the price for a named brand item. Lots of fringe, wrapped dresses and floral this season. Target seriously has you covered and it’s nice quality items that won’t break or rip on you in the first wear.
Target Pearl Ruffle Sleeve Sweater | Current / Elliott The Ruffle Sweatshirt | Express Striped Wrap Dress | Target Striped Tier Dress | Target Floral Wrap Dress | Nadine Floral Wrap Dress
You can’t forget about accessories, so many of their pieces from now have Kate Spade tastes, with a twist of Free People and Madewell.

Spreading Sprinkles & Sparkles,
It’s hit that point of the semester after you have surpassed the first couple days of the second semester and have lived through syllabus week, where you are tired, in need of more sleep and you are regretting signing up for the 8 am. You are saving those precious moments in your warm cozy bed, and you have come to the point that putting on a bra is just way to much work and effort.
Winter can be chilly, and all you want to do is show up to class in a pair of sweatpants your hair in a crazy knotted messy bun and a pair of Uggs before you are able to walk back to your room and cozy back up into bed. I wanted to share a few cozy and effortless looks that any lazy girl could pull off during the second semester.

Spreading Sprinkles & Sparkles,
As the temperatures drop to below 0 degrees Fahrenheit here in Michigan I can’t help but share a few layers, accessories, and ways to staying warm during the winter. My best advice for surviving the cold is to brew your self a hot drink, find yourself on the couch with a Netflix series and a warm cozy blanket. However, no matter how hard we try our busy lives revolves around leaving the house for school and work. The best way to stay warm is to bundle up with a warm coat, and a pair of mittens and an adorable scarf and beanie. Here are a couple of my top picks when it comes to wearing a coat that is warm but also fashionable.
Patagonia Insulated Prairie Dawn Parka | The North Face Outer Boroughs Down Parka | City Coat (Currently on Sale) | Stadium Cloth – Wool Toggle Coat (Currently on Sale 21% off) | Fleece Wrap Jacket | Vail Parka | The North Face Hooded Metro | Steve Madden Skirt Coat (Currently 45% off)
Nothing like a super cute hat, a pair of mittens and a couple extra layers can do to keep you nice and toasty warm. Mittens actually keep your fingers warmer and keep the circulation flowing to help prevent frostbite.
Kyi Kyi Genuine Fox Pompom Hat | Turtle Fur Mittens | A New Day Faux Fur Beanie | Patagonia Powder Town Beanie | Ribbed Faux Fur Beanie | Diamond Fleur De Flip Mittens | Kate Spade Taxi Mittens | Sweet Turns Lexington Hat | Team USA Mittens | Team USA Pom-Pom Hat | Oversized Fair Isle Mittens (on Sale for 24% off)
I am absolutely loving this team USA gear for the winter Olympics right now, this is so cute and I really would love to add this set to my collection of cold gear. I think it would be even more fun because my sister has the Canadian set from the last winter Olympics four years ago and our mittens would make a really cute photo together.
A couple other helpful tips for those who have to brace the cold:
- If you are staying outside for a while, crack open a package of hot hands or toe warmers. I used to stick packages of toe warmers in my boots when I used to ride horses in the winter. Since I wasn’t on my feet as much it was easy for them to freeze and get cold pretty fast. These are great for keeping your toes nice and warm.
- Have a hot drink in hand. The hardest part of walking to class in the winter is walking through the snow and chilly, windy mornings. I always leave my apartment with a hot beverage in hand to keep my hands warm on the walk to class and to warm me up once I get there. Plus who doesn’t love sipping on some hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate while in their morning classes?
- Layers and lots of them. If you aren’t staying in the cold long, such as walking to class or the library or running errands, layering can be a lifesaver. I used to wear big sweaters and sweatshirts and then being dying of heat stroke in class. Layer up so that once you get to class you can take a couple layers off so you aren’t sweating to death. Such as having a hat, gloves, coat, and scarf on are simple layers to take off once you get inside.
- Cover your head and your hands, the first place that starts to feel cold is your ears, nose, and hands. Cover these up by adding a cute faux fur beanie to your outfit and a cute pair of gloves, your fingers will thank you later for keeping them warm. If you don’t have gloves or don’t want hat hair, throw your hood up and throw your hands in your pockets.
Hopefully you find a way to stay nice and warm during this cold streak of days, and I am hoping the weather starts to warm up pretty soon. Let me know in the comments your favorite way to stay warm during the winter.
Spreading Sprinkles & Sparkles,
How to dress up these classic cherry red engine boots for the holidays. I a few years ago I made the plunge and purchased my second pair of Hunters and this time it was in military red, in a glossy finish. I love to wear these boots and thought nothing better than to pair them with some amazing festive outfits for the holidays. This will be my third Christmas pulling them out and styling them. I think it adds the perfect pop of color as you slosh in the snow to holiday parties, and they are functional and stylish.
I love to pair mine with either dark jegging jeans or leggings, with a festive flannel like this pull-over one that is similar to J.Crew and a v-neck sweater or a cardigan (similar).

Spreading Sprinkles & Sparkles,
The season of all things boots and fall and fun, and I have been definitely loving it all. And as the weather is officially getting cold enough to tradition my Birkenstocks to the closet and my converse, I am more than excited to pull out the boot collection including the Hunters, the knee-high riding boots, the over the knee boots, duck boots and you obviously can’t forget the booties. There is just so many different colors, sizes and styles out there and I couldn’t help but share a couple of my favorites this season.
I am loving this pair with this waterproof pair made by Jack Rogers. I have had my eye on these boots since they came out and I just might have to splurge on a pair. Also Nordstrom is currently running a huge fall sale that ends this weekend and there are some great pieces including a few of there booties marked up to 40 percent off. If you have to check out my old post about every shoe a college girl needs in her closet, it’s essential to master the perfect wardrobe.
